A Midsummer Night's Revisitation
The PS8 performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" drew the attention of the premier Shakespearean theater company in the world, when their director of education dropped by the school to discuss scenes from the play and work with drama teacher Noelle Gentile.

The Stars Shined Bright at BrooklyNite!

This year's annual spring gala and auction was a huge success, thanks to the over 200 people who attended, including Borough President Marty Markowitz, City Councilman Steve Levin, Assemblywoman Joan Millman, members of the Brooklyn Heights Association, which sponsored the event, and above all, the family members and friends of PS8. The tremendous generosity of guests helped to raise over $50 thousand for PS8's art and science programs, as well as teaching assistants.

Eat, drink and bid! PS'8 annual auction is coming up April 29 at 6 pm Plymouth Church's Hillis Hall. This year the Brooklyn Heights Association is sponsoring the event, called BrooklyNite, in honor of their centennial celebration, and it promises to be not only a great fundraiser, but a fabulous party. Bid on vacation homes, or entire vacations. Or stay home and have a professional chef prepare a meal for you and your friends. Better yet, Principal Seth Phillips can be bought this year to cook a meal for six at his house!
