KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS START OFF YEAR WITH A BANG!
Photos and text by Randi Pellet, K parent
The kindergarten has had a great start to the year! On Friday, Sept. 28, the whole grade, along with teachers and many family members, headed over to the park in DUMBO for a picnic. It was a wonderful, informal way to get acquainted. Despite threats of rain and a moment of overcast, the weather and the mood was great.

stories with parents and visitors
A few days later the students got to impress their parents with the first Publishing Parties. Each class gave its developing authors a chance to show their illustrations and share their stories with parents and visitors. Each child took turns presenting in a "special" chair, and afterward shared celebratory snack. Next up: Field trip to Queens County Farm!
