Potluck Potshots

International gastronomy, the PS8 Parent Band and a remarkable array of raffle prizes formed the essential ingredients of a very successful 2007 Potluck Dinner at PS 8 this week (Dec 18th).
On the basis that pictures speak louder than words, these photographs will undoubtedly be enjoyable to view whether you were able to attend or not.
PS8 kids eagerly await the raffle winners...
...which included some unexpected prizes (this parrot far from the oddest)...
...Precious Jones-Walker was given an engraved vase on behalf of PTA members, thanking her for her support and service to parents and children during her previous post as PS 8 Parent Coordinator...
...the PS8 Parent Band gave a wonderful performance and filled the auditorium with Christmas cheer...
...and last but by no means least, everyone tuck in to a plethora of dishes brought by members of the PS8 community.
Many thanks go to PTA Hospitality Committee volunteers for the many hours spent setting up and managing the event, to PTA Communications Committee volunteers for the promotional posters, materials and these photos, but most of all to members of the PS8 community who brought a bounteous spread of international dishes for everyone to enjoy.
