It's Box Tops for Education Time!
Join in the Funds...

Here's How:

Collect Box Tops for Education logos -- you can find them on many of the products in your own home (General Mills Products, Cheerios, Total, Wheaties, Chex, Cascadian Farms Cereals, Nature Valley Products, Yoplait, Juicy Juice, Ziploc Products, Scott Paper Towels, Cottonelle, Saran, Kleenex, Huggies Diapers and Wipes and many more). Starting September 24 through October 20, we are launching the PS8 Box Tops Drive. The class who collects the most Boxtops will win an October Ice Cream!!!

The collection box for the box tops will be located in the main lobby. Be sure to put your box tops in an envelope or baggy marked with your name, grade and teacher's name so that your class can get credit. Each week we will tally the results and post them on the bulletin board.

For every Boxtop you collect, you will help earn 10¢ for our school. While that may not sound like a lot, just imagine if we can get at least 20 box tops from each child in our school! Of course don't limit yourself to just your own household -- ask your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers -- conduct a "Box Top Raid". Even better, find out when the recyclables are collected in your building and you may be surprised at how many more you will be able to collect in a very short time.

If you've never shopped through the Box Tops Marketplace, now's the time to check it out. All new Marketplace shoppers who make any purchase at the Box Tops Marketplace between now and November 2 will earn 5 Bonus Box Tops for their school--and that's in addition to the normal percentage earned when you shop at the Marketplace.

At the Marketplace, you can shop online at over 70 favorite stores like Target, Lands' End, Wal-Mart, Old Navy, Gap, Circuit City, JCPenney, Pottery Barn and many more (see the list here). Whenever you make a purchase, a percentage of the total is automatically donated to the school at no extra cost to you.

  1. Go to www.boxtops4education.com
  2. Look in the upper right hand corner where it says "sign-up now"
  3. You will be asked to locate your school. Enter the school's zip code -- 11201. Then look for Public School 8 -- Robert Fulton -- Brooklyn. Be careful because there is another PS 8 listed but in Jersey City.
  4. You will then be asked to enter your contact information.

Once you have registered, look at the top of the page for marketplace..This is where you will find a full list of participating retailers.

REMEMBER, in order for PS8 to receive a percent of your purchases you must always go through this website to get to the retailer's website and make your purchase.

And this year there is new incentive
, the Box Tops Reading Room. Box Tops for Education and Barnes and Noble.com have teamed up to bring you a new to earn cash for PS8 just in time for the Readathon which launches next month.

Its easy and here is how:

  1. Log on to www.btfe.com/readingroom to begin your online shopping.
  2. Click on the "Shop now" button to transfer to Barnes and Noble.com.
  3. Select your items and follow the standard checkout process.

PS8 will automatically be credited up to 6 percent of your purchase (new books, magazines, text books and 3 percent for other books including gift cards and gift certificates)! Do your holiday shopping!
