For the whole family: A relaxing week's vacation in a historic house, The Amazon Littlefield House, on Block Island, Rhode Island. Full access to private beach, swimming until mid-October. House has 4 bedrooms, extensive gardens, terrace and porches. 10 -12 people maximum. During the shoulder season only (spring until June 28, or fall after Labor Day). $2,000 value.
Send your child to sleepaway camp: Camp Echo in the Catskills is offering two sessions for children ages 7-15. 4 weeks 6/28 - 7/25 valued at $5,850; 3 weeks 7/26 - 8/16 valued at $4,550. For new campers only. Last year's auction winner of this item had a wonderful time at camp, and her mom wanted to share her experience with you:
