We invite you to
P.S.8's production of Shakespeare's
"A Midsummer Night's Dream"

Come and see P.S. 8's third, fourth and fifth grade students perform this whimsical favorite by Shakespeare.

Performances are:

Thursday, February 4th
and Friday, February 5th
at 6:00 pm

in the P.S. 8 Auditorium, 37 Hicks Street (between Middagh & Poplar Streets), in Brooklyn.

The students of PS 8 have taken part in this production as performers, co-directors, scene, prop and costume designers, and public relations marketers.

In this romantic and hilarious love story, the young Hermia is in love with a boy named Lysander, but her father, King Oberon, does not want them to marry. Instead, he wants her to marry Demetrias - a boy who her friend Helena loves. As they travel into the woods, they run into even further mishaps and confusion at the hands of Puck, the ever mischievous sprite.

Want to get involved? Volunteers are needed to help transform the auditorium into a theatre. Help us construct sets and create props and costumes. Interested community members are invited to attend Volunteer Day on Saturday, January 23rd, 10 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.
